Paypal Philippines

Good news for everyone whose been waiting to do business online but has found it difficult to properly send and receive payment from anyone and anywhere in the world. Paypal is now available for Filipinos without any limitations this time around. Why is this significant some of you might ask? Paypal is the world’s largest secure online payment network and the number one payment processor used today. One simply cannot do away with Paypal if you want to have a slightest chance of your business succeeding online. With the popularity of selling things online by listing them at various auction or buy and sell sites like ebay, the potential to earn money is huge.

One of the biggest hurdles we have in migrating our brick and mortar business online is an effective payment system. We may have a great product or service that a lot of people are interested in buying or using, but buyers will find it difficult to pay merchants without jumping through various online payment processors that are either difficult to fund, have exorbitant fees or difficulty in converting those digital currency into cold hard Philippine pesos. With the availability of Paypal in the Philippines, all the hurdles in doing business online have been shattered. Paypal has been available in Philippines for around 2 years now, but with lots of restrictions in place. Initially, users from the Philippines can only send money-using Paypal to pay for various goods and services online but cannot receive funds from other Paypal accounts and has no way of withdrawing the money into our banks or debit cards. But all these restriction has slowly been lifted starting with the ability to receive money from other Paypal accounts, followed by the availability of withdrawing our funds through various VISA debit cards like UnionBank’s EON card, and now finally the most exciting feature is the availability of withdrawing funds from Paypal directly to our local bank accounts. With is feature in place, your market will no longer be confined to our shores but to the rest of the world, truly bringing out the true potential of your business.

Of course with that said, Paypal is not without any faults. Long time international users have been complaining that Paypal favors the buyer more than the seller. With the ability of the buyer to open a dispute or chargebacks claiming non-delivery of goods and services even if they have already received them and some have abused this system. But Paypal has been addressing this issue and already have improved a lot in this area by making it harder for buyers to do this without presenting any proof of non fulfillment of obligations. In a nutshell, if you are serious about making money from your business by expanding it for the global market and if you don't have a Paypal account yet, then you should definitely go ahead at sign up here PayPal , it's absolutely free.

Wealth Within Your Reach | Making Your Money Work

I have just finished reading the book of Francisco J. Colayco Wealth Within Your Reach and Making Your Money Work. I enjoyed the books very much and I recommend it to anyone who has not read this book yet to go to your favorite book store and get a copy, it's a great way to learn financial literacy. After finishing reading his book, it got me thinking. Most of us strive to work hard to climb the corporate ladder or start our own business to earn lots of money, but after reaching our goal in earning the money what then? We often believe that getting more money is the solution to our problems, but without knowing how money actually works our money woes will never cease. Most of us don't know how or where to properly invest our savings. We often ask family and friends for advice and often get very mixed reactions like investing it in jewelry, property or just leave it in your savings account. By reading the book, we will be given ideas on how and where to properly invest our earnings and what things we should avoid buying.

Filipinos love the lottery and we often see long queues of people in lotto outlets especially if the prize is already in the tens of millions of pesos. But winning the lottery does not guarantee the good life often associated with winning that amount of money. Just recently a news item that caught my attention about a guy winning thirty millions pesos from the lottery end up being poorer than before he won the money. How is that possible most of you may wonder? It's easier than it seems to squander off thirty millions pesos by making the wrong financial decisions. I can't recommend these books highly enough and if you manage to pass by powerbooks give it a browse and I am sure you'll be hooked.

Unsustainable Lifestyles

Money is a limited resource. No matter how much we earn, it never seems to be enough. I have never heard anyone complain that they have too much money, it's always either my earnings are not enough or I wish I have more money. So it is not surprising that careful money management is very important especially for people who have a family or need to support someone because if something were to happen to you financially, not only are you affected but also people who depends on you for financial support. We must carefully analyze our financial capabilities to make sure that we are not living beyond our means and to also save for the future since our capacity to earn from our active income greatly diminishes as we grow older.

Most of us may already be unknowingly living beyond the lifestyle our present income can provide. One of the most common culprits is our credit card spending habits. Credit cards are extremely useful and can actually be more beneficial than cash due to perks and privileges like 3% rebates on gas, restaurant and department store purchases. But credit card also provide us with much more purchasing power than our current monthly income can provide, creating an illusion that we are richer than we actually are. And because of this, most will never think twice about eating out every day or buying the latest gadgets and trinkets on a whim. This kind of artificial lifestyle will continue until they finally maxed out their credit cards to the point of what they can only afford to pay is the interest due to the huge debt incurred while living beyond their means.

Loosing Money From Your Business Investments

In life, things doesn't always go according to plan or the way we want it to turn out. Even the best laid plans maybe sidetracked by events may or may not be in our control. As in life, business investments don't always go our way. Sometimes we make money and sometimes we don't. The reason we go into business or invest in things is to earn profits, but for one reason or another, businesses fail or profits do not materialize from your investments.

There are numerous reasons why a business fail. It can either be mismanagement, poor sales, poor choice of location or simply the climate is not right for your business. When this happen, it can be disheartening especially if this is your first business venture. But instead of giving up and sinking into depression. This is a perfect opportunity to study what did we do wrong and pick ourselves up and prepare to start over again, but this time we are armed with more experience and what it takes to succeed.

For investments, there are varying degrees of risk which depends on the type of investment we would like to place our money in. But the general rule is the greater the risk, the greater the profits. Time deposits has the least amount of risk, but the returns are low. Top commercial banks in the country like Metrobank, BPI or Banco de oro offer low returns for their time deposits but at the cost of almost no risk to you. Smaller less known banks may offer interest greater than any of the top banks but are riskier. Each depositor is insured up to 250k pesos so that's an added insurance to time deposit investors which is guarantee that you will get your money bank in an event of the bank going under as long as you don't exceed the amount.

Higher risk investments like UITFs, mutual funds and the stock market offer significantly higher returns but often lock in you money for an uncertain period of time. Stocks particularly are unpredictable. Sometimes you get your investments back in a few days, sometimes months or even years in the case of the 1997 Asian financial crisis in which stocks bought during its highest levels are now just recovering. That's 10 years of your money locked in stocks which is only now about to breaking even.
