Over the years, there has been a big steady demand for milkfish or bangus in the country. It has also been doing well in the international market with Philippine export of frozen or chilled bangus reaching over 526 metric tons or some P8.5 million annually. Pag-aalaga ng Hipon (Shrimp)

Ayon sa pananaliksik ng Freshwater Fisheries Research Station, malaking potensyal ang pag-aalaga ng hipon sa palaisdaan. Ito ay madaling alagaan at nangangailangan lamang ng maliit na puhunan. Isa rin ito sa nangungunang ikinakalakal ng ating bansa sa dahilang ang hipon ay makikita sa iba't ibang bahagi ng ating bansa at madali pang paramihin.

Green water technology is a technique that cultures shrimps in water that is abundant in phytoplankton i.e. Chlorella, turning the water green hence, its name.
