Javi’s Steak and Burger Joint is the brainchild of husband and wife, John and Kim Buan, who felt the Sikatuna Village area in Quezon City needed a restaurant that incorporated great, inexpensive food and superb service at a relaxed and pleasant setting. With this philosophy, Javi’s Steak and Burger Joint, with its name derived from the couple’s second child who at an early age displayed a passion for good food, officially opened its doors to the public on January 2001. The couple, with the help of family members, experienced first hand, all aspects of operations.

It didn’t take long before word got around that Javi’s Steak and Burger Joint was the place to go for a great meal and friendly service. In the first few months of operations, business showed an incredible following, considering that no marketing tools and campaigns were employed. It depended solely on word of mouth marketing, proving that kind of ‘honest to goodness’ taste and quality Javi’s Steak and Burger Joint had to offer. The guiding principle of the business has always been that the customer comes first. It has never focused on short-term profits. Rather, the focus is on keeping the customers happy for if you keep the customers happy, they will come back and bring some friends along the way. This principle is what makes Javi’s Steak and Burger Joint as successful as it is. Along the way, its staff grew in numbers, adjusting to the increasing requirement of the business.

First to hit at a home-run with its growing customers were its Grilled Steaks and Burgers which have been acclaimed for their ample serving and excellent taste and would fare quite successfully against numerous foreign food chains. Not depending on its flagship products, Javi’s Steak and Burger Joint also boasts of highly acclaimed products, all specialties, each with its own distinct flavor and personality.

Not only did the couple focus on the quality of its products and service but to the novelty of its structure as well. Its exterior alone attracts passers-by with its unique look, utilizing container vans, making for an exceptionally rare and ambient interior and exterior.

Even with its success within a short period of time, Javi’s Steak and Burger knows that change is inevitable. New products are being tested and formulated to keep up with the
clamor for more and to heighten its status as one of the most
dynamic restaurants in the country.
