FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: How much does the ICE CASTLE Franchise cost?
A: The Franchise Fee payable to Franchisor upon signing of the Franchise Agreement is Pesos 1,500,000. The estimated cost to renovate a 100 square meter outlet and to equip it is Pesos 1,700,000, payable directly to the various contractors and suppliers.

Q: To whom do you award ICE CASTLE Franchises?
A: To people with preferable a successful professional track record, not necessarily in the food business, with emphasis on people handling skills and management. Franchisee should be motivated to succeed and be outgoing persons with entrepreneurial spirit. It is important that Franchisee accepts the pros and cons of Franchising, those that desire total control are not suitable to be franchisees.

Q: Do you require hands-on Management from the Franchisee?
A: Franchisee should devote his time to manage the franchised outlet and spend at least 6 hours daily in the franchised facility.

Q: How long will it take me to get the ICE CASTLE Franchise open?
A: This depends on several variables; selecting a favorable location for your facility, completing training, renovation. Under favorable conditions though, you may be able to be in business in 90 days.

Q: What are the Royalty and Advertisement fees?
A: Royalty is 5% of gross sales. Advertisement fees are 1% of gross sales for Local Store Marketing to be spent by you to promote ICE CASTLE within your territory. Pesos 50,000 for the Grand opening of the outlet and later 2% for the National Advertisement Fund, when such is established.

Q: Will ICE CASTLE provide the site and construction of the building or outlet?
A: Each Franchisee is responsible for securing his own location. All potential sites must be submitted to ICE CASTLE for approval. Construction or renovation is entirely at the expense of the Franchisee.

Q: Can I remodel an existing structure?
A: Yes. The only requirement is that ICE CASTLE must approve all remodeling to the specifications of ICE CASTLE to insure that our requirements and high standards are met.

Q: If I lease a space, will you design the store layout?
A: We will furnish you with a floor plan, sketch and basic specification for an ICE CASTLE. Each Franchisee is responsible for customizing the basic plan to the dimension of the proposed location.

Q: Is the Franchisee required to purchase all his equipment and supply needs from ICE CASTLE?
A: As an ICE CASTLE Franchisee, you are required to purchase some ingredients from Franchisor. All other items are to be purchased by approved suppliers of ICE CASTLE.

Q: What pre-opening services do you offer?
A: Prior to and upon opening, an ICE CASTLE representative will assist you with training personnel, ordering inventory, and arranging a Grand Opening.

Q: What about Training?
Absolutely. ICE CASTLE has spent a great deal of time and effort developing its product and system and accepts no compromise in quality or control. For this reason, we require Franchisee, Kitchen and Dining Crew to complete our 2 weeks training program and demonstrate mastery of certain basic skills. The cost of training is included in the Franchise Fee.

Q: Do you have a comprehensive manual for the operation?
A: Our confidential Operations Manual details the ICE CASTLE system on every aspect of daily operation in your store.
